2009-2010 Season - (UPDATED Oct. 1st 2009)

** We have begun accepting registration to our annual bonspiel which will take place on Nov. 7th.  Check out the bonspiel page for more details and to download the form.

League play begins starting with the Thursday league on Oct. 15th.

The U of T Curling Club is gearing up for the 2009-2010 season.  Registration has already started and will continue until all spots at EYCC have been filled.  An email has been sent out to individuals on our mailing list. If you have not received any messages from us, please contact us at uoftcurling@hotmail.com.

If you want to curl at EYCC in a weekly league as a new member, you must email us ASAP.  There are limited spots left and many nights may be already full.  If you have been notified by us that you have a curling spot, please make arrangements with us to hand in your form and money. You may also hand them in at one of our September General Meetings, or directly to EYCC. Registration forms are available on our website, and on the Membership page as well.

For those interested in trying curling for the first time or for members to invite friends, we have two main events.  Our open house will be scheduled for a Saturday in early October at EYCC.  Our annual U of T Bonspiel will be held on Sat. November 7 2009 from 9am-4pm.  The 6th Annual Hart House Bonspiel will be held in February 2010.  Stay tuned for more details about these events. We will also update you on when the ice at East York is ready in October, and when league play begins.

Important Dates for 2009-2010

  • August 27: Fees due - last day for returning teams to guarantee their spot
  • September 4 @ 12 - 4 pm: UTSU Orientation Clubs Fair
  • September 14 @ 6:30 pm:  General Meeting & Information Session at the Bickersleth Room in Hart House
  • October: League play begins
  • October 17 @ 9am - 1 pm : Open House at East York Curling Club
  • November 7 @ 9 am - 4 pm: Annual U of T Curling Club Bonspiel
  • February 2010: 6th Annual Hart House Bonspiel (click for the old 2008 poster) - sign up begins in December at Hart House
  • April 2010: Playoffs season
